WILKES-BARRE, Pa.- Caldwell University women's track and field senior
Ana Gonzalez Martin (Toledo, Spain) won the 5000-meter event as the Cougars competed at the Monarch Open hosted by King's College.
Gonzalez Martin won the 5000 with a time of 19:19.89.
Freshman
Shamica Carey (Nassau, Bahamas) finished in fourth place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.37.
Junior
Deneisha Williams (D'abadie, Trinidad and Tobago) placed sixth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.52.
Sophomore
Dagnelly Sarmiento (Weehawken, N.J.) took fourth place in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 19.07. Sarmiento finished in sixth place in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:24.00.
Freshman
KJ Gordon (Latham, N.Y.) came in fourth place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:05.83, while sophomore
Gabriela Lopez (Belleville, N.J.) took eighth place with a time of 1:09.31.
Sophomore
Victoria Pardi (Totowa, N.J.) finished in ninth place in the hammer throw with a distance of 31.10 meters.
The Cougars wrap up their season as they compete in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship May 7-8.
