NEW HAVEN, Conn.- Caldwell University men's track and field freshman Joey Datta (Edison, N.J.) was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Track Rookie of the Week after shining at Misericordia University's Twilight Invitational last Tuesday.
 
Datta earned rookie of the week honors as he ran both long-distance races, taking third place in both the 10,000-meter and 5000-meter events. Datta posted a time of 16:35.37 in the 5k and a time of 35:24.31 in the 10k.
 
The Cougars return to action as they compete in the Misericordia University Invitational on Friday, April 22.
