Box Score AMHERST, N.Y.- Caldwell University men's basketball senior Ahmad Harrison (Newark, N.J.) turned in a career effort to help lead the Cougars past Roberts Wesleyan University 84-70 to wrap up play at the ECC-CACC Challenge hosted by Daemen College.
The Cougars even their record at 1-1, while RedHawks fall to 1-1.
Caldwell got off to a fast start as they scored the first 16 points of the game.
Roberts Wesleyan trimmed the score to 37-36 in favor of the Cougars at halftime.
Caldwell pulled away to start the second half as they out scored the RedHawks 47-34. They shot 48.5% from the field in the second half to earn their first win of the season.
Harrison posted new career highs with 26 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and four steals. Junior Ned Ogoemesim (Westampton, N.J.), who earned all-tournament honors, chipped in 19 points and three rebounds. Junior Vaughn Covington (Sicklerville, N.J.) finished with 12 points and four rebounds. Junior Ruud Lutterman (Dalem, Netherlands) posted 11 points and eight rebounds in the win
