MAHWAH, N.J.- The Caldwell University women's track and field team finished in fourth place at the Roadrunner Invitational hosted by Ramapo College.
Freshman
Alexandra Greaves (Huntington, N.Y.) turned in several standout performances at the meet. She qualified for the 100-meter dash final and took home the win in the final with a time 12.82. Greaves took fourth place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.91. She also shined in the field events as Greaves placed fifth in the long jump with a distance of 5.04 meters.
Greaves was also part of the sixth place 4x100 relay team as senior
Courtney Macaluso (Hopatcong, N.J.), junior
Jennifer Diettman (Middletown, N.J.) and freshman
Markiah Holmes (Passaic, N.J.) posted a time of 52.46 seconds.
Junior
Victoria Thaler (Millville, N.J.) ran a time of 5:11.24 as she placed tenth in the 1500-meter run. Freshman
Megan Barreto (Howell, N.J.) took seventh place in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:12.83. Holmes place 14
th in the 400-hurdles with a time of 1:15.24.
The Cougars has two other top relay performances in the 4x400 and the 4x800. Thaler, Barreto, Diettman and junior
Christina Campos (Bloomfield, N.J.) placed second in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 4:11.30. Thaler, Holmes, Barreto, and senior
Leslee Sena (Phillipsburg, N.J.) took third place in the 4x800 meter relay with a time of 10:39.16.
In the field events, junior
Nicole Ough (Randolph, N.J.) took third place in the discus with a distance of 34.44 meters. Freshman
Tina Lebron (Manalapan, N.J.) set the school record in the javelin with a distance of 35.33 meter, taking fifth place. Freshman
Melissa Brown (Brick, N.J.) finished in ninth place in the javelin with a throw of 32.97 meters.
The Cougars are back in action on Saturday, April 8 as they will compete in the TCNJ Invitational.
