Against Augustana, Caldwell scored in the first inning on a bases-loaded grounder by senior
Megan Fryday (San Marcos, CA/Mission Hills) that brought home senior

Caitlin McCready (Jupiter, FL/Dwyer) plated freshman
Kiahna Silva (Etiwanda, CA/Etiwanda) to make the score 4-2, but a strikeout ended the comeback and the game.
Junior pitcher
Amber Padilla (Chino, CA/Pomona Catholic) went the distance, allowing four runs, one earned, on six hits while striking out seven without a walk. Knorr paced the offense with two hits.
In the day's second game, senior
Alyssa Calderon (Fontana, CA/Etiwanda) hit an RBI double in the first inning to give Caldwell an early lead. Sioux Falls responded with four runs in the bottom of the first and two more runs in the third for a 6-1 advantage. In the top of the fourth, junior
Katelyn Biasi (Blackwood, NJ/Sterling) singled home Calderon and later scored on a wild pitch to make the score 6-3. The Cougars managed just two hits the rest of the way, losing for the third straight game.
Biasi went 3-for-3, while freshman
Marisa Monasseri (Monroe, NJ/Monroe Twp.) was 2-for-2 at the plate for Caldwell. Senior
Sarah Almasy (Stratford, NJ/Sterling) allowed three hits and no runs in 3 2/3 innings of relief of starter
