The 17th-ranked Cougars head north with a 10-1 record that included five shutout wins.

In an 8-0 triumph over UM-Crookston, Caldwell broke a scoreless tie in the top of the fourth inning with a two-run single by senior Nicole Velardi (Belleville, NJ/Belleville). The Cougars exploded for six runs in the top of the fifth to put the game away. Velardi also singled home a run and later scored from third on a wild pitch.

Sophomore pitcher Amber Padilla (Chino, CA/Pomona Catholic) blanked the Golden Eagles (2-8) on five hits while striking out six without a walk in five innings to improve to 3-1.

Against St. Michael's (0-7), it was junior Hanna Walkinshaw's (Aptos, CA/Aptos) turn to put up zeroes, as Walkinshaw tossed a three-hit shutout over seven innings with four strikeouts and no walks. Walkinshaw, who improved to 3-0 with the win, did not allow an earned run in 18 1/3 innings and six appearances in Florida.

Caldwell scored two unearned runs in the fifth inning and received RBI doubles from Calderon and sophomore Brielle Reighn (Runnemeade, NJ/Triton Regional) to win, 4-0. Calderon and Reign each had two hits to lead the Cougar offense.
