Calderon went 3-for-5 at the plate with five runs batted in and two runs scored. Velardi and sophomore Kristen Knorr (Monroeville, NJ/Delsea) each had two hits.

In the second game, Calderon and Knorr had run-scoring singles in the first and second innings, respectively, before the Cougars pushed nine runs across in the third. Gaspich hit a two-run double and  freshman Brielle Reighn (Runnemeade, NJ/Triton Reg.) had a two-run single, while Cascone and sophomore Megan Fryday (San Marcos, CA/Mission Hills) also drove in runs in the third.
