UNION, N.J. -- Sophomore
Christopher Francois (Bloomfield, N.J.) won the shot put and senior
Geraldy Volcy (Irvington, N.J.) took gold in the 200 and silver in the 100, leading a contingent of 10 total medals for Caldwell University men's track & field at the Kean Sprint Night event on Thursday evening.
Francois tossed a personal best 13.21m to win the event, which also saw sophomore
Sal Panicucci (Totowa, N.Y.) take fourth at 11.91.
Volcy's 22.32 and junior
Lawton Haynes's (Montclair, N.J.) 23.51 earned first and fourth, respectively, in the 200. Volcy's 11.30 (2nd) led three Cougars in the top 10 in the 100, with freshman
Messiah Findley (Linden, N.J.) taking seventh at 11.44 and soph
Kevin Philistin (No. Plainfield, N.J.) placing 10th just a second behind at 11.45.
Findley also took second in the 400m with a personal best and CACC qualifying time of 51.33. Philistin also took 9th in the 100 (11.45) and 5th in Long Jump (5.55m)

- Junior Logan Kudla (Bloomfield, N.J.), 1500m, 3rd, 4:14.91
- Junior Emanuel Laluz (Lyndhurst, N.J.), long jump, 4th, 5.73m
Several Cougars travel to the historic Penn Relays on Friday and the full team visits Vassar on Saturday.
