NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Caldwell University baseball has been selected ninth in the CACC Preseason Coaches' Poll, the league announced today.
Caldwell, under the tutelage of second-year Head Coach
Nick Luciano, return seven position players who played in more than half of last year's games, and seven pitchers who threw 25 or more innings in 2025.
The Cougars won 21 games last year, the program's most since 2008, setting the school stolen base record with 154 (15th in the NCAA) and ranked 16th in the nation in turning double plays (43).
Caldwell opens its 30th Anniversary season on Feb. 28 at West Virginia State.
