Chris Hopf (Middlesex, N.J.) and senior right handed pitcher
John Rigas (Lincoln Park, N.J.) have been named to the 2026 CACC Baseball All-Academic Team, the league announced today. It is the second time that Rigas has been honored, as he also earned the distinction in 2024.
Hopf, a criminal justice major with a 3.76 cumulative GPA, earned All-CACC First Team honors, batting .336 with 13 home runs, placing third in the league, and 38 RBI. He is also a two-time CSC Academic All-District and CACC Academic Honor Roll member.
Rigas, an accounting major with a 3.62 GPA, is a two-time CSC Academic All-District performer and a four-time CACC Academic Honor Roll recipient. He finished his career 12th in school history with 134 strikeouts and tied for third in saves with five.
To be eligible for the All-Academic Team, a student-athletes must meet the following criteria: a) minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of the immediate preceding term; b) minimum of two semesters enrolled as full-time student at member institution, prior to Spring 2025; c) student-athlete must be second year student-athlete at member institution; and d) student-athlete must have been athletically eligible the season preceding the award and used a season of eligibility.
