Bowling Takes Three of Four in Baker Format at CSU Lady Eagles Invite Day 2

Cougars Rally in Both Bracket Play Matches for Successful Finish

GWYNN OAK, Md.-- Caldwell bowling won three of four matches in Baker format at the CSU Lady Eagles Invite in Gwyn Oak, Md., on Sunday.

The Cougars opened the day with a win over Fayetteville State, then fell just 10 pins short against host Coppin State.

Then in bracket play, the Cougars team of sophomore Alexandra Sardis (Milltown, N.J.), sophomore Sara Angelica Rodriguez (Edison, N.J.), junior Samantha Glunk (Chatham, N.J.), Soph Allie Rumfield (Phillpsburg, N.J.) and senior Lauren Marks (Parsippany, N.J.) rallied with wins in game six and seven to take a 4-3 win over the Lady Eagles. Then against Molloy, the Cougars won the last three games, including a one-pin win in the sixth for a 4-2 triumph.

The event marked the last of the fall season for Caldwell (22-17), which resumes play on Feb. 1-2 at the Griffin Baker Classic.
