NEW HAVEN, CONN. -- Caldwell University's women's bowling squad has been picked to finish second in a poll of the Central Atlantic Athletic Conference (CACC) coaches, the league announced today.

After winning two titles and advancing to the finals in the first three years of CACC, Caldwell advanced to the semifinals of last year's CACC Champioships. The Cougars' 40-23 record was its best by percentage in the program's 12 years.

CU grabbed one first place vote for a total of 21 points, four fewer than Felician, which garnered the other five first-place votes. Holy Family, Wilmington, defending CACC champion Dominican and Chestnut Hill rounded out the poll.

The Cougars return five letterwinners, including seniors Allie Rumfield (Phillipsburg, N.J.) and Sara Rodriguez (Edison, N.J.), junior Faith Perrin (Brick Twp., N.J.) and sophs Isabella Bille (Bloomfield, N.J.) and Emily Tarsio (Newburgh, N.Y.).

Head Coach Ken Yokobosky, last year's CACC Coach of the Year, is in his 13th season at the helm and has racked up 476 victories.

The Cougars open the season on Oct. 17 at the Golden Bear Classic in Sinking Spring, Pa.
