ROCKAWAY, N.J. -- The Caldwell bowling team had another successful day in Baker Format at the CACC Invitational #1 at Rockaway Lanes today, winning three of five matches to finish the weekend at 7-3 and in third place in total pinfall.
The Cougars fell in tight matches to Dominican and Felician before earning wins over Wilmington, Chestnut Hill and Holy Family. They were awarded a win over Chestnut Hill for a 3-2 day.
Senior
Lauren Marks (Parsippany, N.J.) had the highest frame average at 19.80, followed by sophomore
Alexandra Sardis (Milltown, N.J.) at 18.10 and senior
Sydney Tabor (Delran, N.J.) at 17.15.
The results came in on the heels of Saturday's traditional games, in which Sardis averaged 208.2, including games of 239 and 236, and Marks dropped 973 total pins for a 194.6 average, the two highest marks in the entire field.
The Cougars visit the CSU Lady Eagles Invitational in Gwynn Oaks, Md., next weekend in their final event of the fall season. They pick up again on Feb. 1 at the Griffin Baker Classic in Deptford, N.J.
