CALDWELL, N.J. -- Seniors
Joey Datta (Edison, N.J.) and
Alfredo Oidor (Garfield, N.J.) have been 1-2 for the Cougars men all year, as have senior
Eliana McNamee (Springfield, N.J.) and sophomore
Dayanara Grau (Union City, N.J.) this fall for the women. Both duos will look to set the pace as the 2024
Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Cross-Country Championships will be held on Sunday at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia. The men's 8,000-meter championship will take place at 9 a.m., followed by the women's 5,000-meter race at 10 a.m. The event will be hosted by Thomas Jefferson University.
The Cougar men, ranked seventh regionally, are looking for their first men's championship. At the front is Datta, who has won two straight CACC Championships. A third would be unprecedented (two other athletes have won two straight in league history).
Also expected to make major contributions to the CU men's squad's run at at title are freshman
Luke Molyneux (Ocean Township, N.J.), junior
Chad Manning (Belleville, N.J.) (41st, 27:41.30), sophomore
Logan Kudla (Bloomfield, N.J.) (54th, 28:12.00) and sophomore
Alex Jamieson (Portree, Scotland).

Kyle Price is looking for big things from freshman
