McNamee, Grau Pace Women's Cross Country at NJIT Highlander Challenge

Cougars Head into CACC Championships in Two Weeks

NEWARK, N.J. -- Senior Eliana McNamee (Springfield, N.J.) and sophomore Dayanara Grau (Union City, N.J.) were the top two finishers for Caldwell women's cross country at the NJIT Highlander Challenge at Branch Brook Park on Saturday.

McNamee completed the 5K course in 23:40.81 (108th place) and Grau was right behind at 24:08.37.

Freshman Ria Datta (Union, N.J; next at 28:08.98, senior Julia Carrino (Lyndhurst, N.J., 34:18.88)  and Nicole Martignoni Mercado (Fair Lawn, N.J., 36:08.60) also scored for CU.

The Cougars gear up for the CACC Championships in Philadelphia on Oct. 27.
