EAST NORRITON, Pa.- The #4 seed Caldwell University women's bowling team defeated #2 seed Chestnut Hill College to capture the inaugural Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship on Sunday afternoon.
The Cougars notched a 2-0 mega match win over the Griffins, winning the team traditional round and the baker matches to avoid a deciding match and win the conference championship.
Caldwell opened the championship final with an 890-816 win in the traditional team format to take a 1-0 mega match lead.
Next up was the baker format where the Cougars again came out on top 1,004-853 to win the conference title and raise the trophy.

Rhianna Smith (Mount Olive, N.J.) earned CACC Tournament MVP honors, while graduate
Victoria Vucak (Garfield, N.J.) and junior
Lauren Marks (Parsippany, N.J.) joined Smith on the All-Tournament Team.
The women's bowling team captures their second conference title in their program's history as they previously won the East Coast Conference Championship in 2019, when they were an associate member of the ECC.
