NEW CASTLE, Del.- The Caldwell University women's bowling team posted three wins on day one of the Northeast Roundup hosted by Wilmington University. The Cougars improve to 36-33 on the season.
The Cougars won their first two matches of the day as they defeated New Jersey City University 887-821 and down Saint Anselm College 764-670. Caldwell fell short to Kutztown University 896-807 but bounced back to defeat fellow conference school Holy Family University 930-566. The Cougars closed out the opening day with a 902-804 loss to Mercyhurst University.
Junior
Lauren Marks (Parsippany, N.J.) earned all-tournament honors as she finished in fourth place in day one's traditional play. She took forth place with a five-round traditional average of 200.40 with a high game of 247 with a total pinfall of 1,002.
Senior
Rhianna Smith (Mount Olive, N.J.) finished with a five-round traditional average of 159.20 with a high round of 183, while sophomore
Yoana Hyman-Cruz (Edison, N.J.) posted a five round traditional average of 150.60 with a high game of 163. Graduate
Victoria Vucak (Garfield, N.J.) rounded out the top performers with a four-round traditional average of 170.25 with a high game of 209.
The Cougars conclude play at the Northeast Roundup hosted by Wilmington on Sunday, March 19 with four baker matches and a baker best of 7 match to close out the tournament.
