NEW CASTLE, Del.- The Caldwell University women's bowling team posted three wins on day one of the Wildcats D2/D3 Invitational hosted by Wilmington University. The Cougars sit in seventh place with a total pinfall of 4,300 after the opening day.
The Cougars won their first three matches to start day one as they defeated St. Thomas Aquinas College 860-741. Caldwell won their next two matches, downing Chestnut Hill College 867-838 and edging Mercyhurst University 892-885. The Cougars fell in their final two matches to Bloomfield College 891-826 and Molloy University 948-855.
Sophomore
Yoana Hyman-Cruz (Edison, N.J.) led the way with an 18.60 baker average. Graduate
Victoria Vucak (Garfield, N.J.) posted a 17.77 baker average, while senior
Rhianna Smith (Mount Olive, N.J.) finished with a baker average of 17.65. Junior
Lauren Marks (Parsippany, N.J.) recorded a baker average of 17.30.
The Cougars continue play at the Wildcats Invitational with five traditional matches on Saturday, February 18.
