NEW HAVEN, Conn.- The Caldwell University Baseball team was picked to finish in third place in the North Division in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Preseason Coaches poll. The Cougars finished the 2021 season with a 15-15 record, advancing to the CACC Semifinals.

Dominican College took the top spot in the North edging out Felician University with 55 points and five first place votes. Felician came in second place with six first place votes, earning 54 points. The Cougars placed third with 38 points, while Post University rounded out the top-four with 32 points.

In the South Division, Goldey-Beacom College and Wilmington University tied for first place with 43 points each with Goldey-Beacom earning five first place votes and Wilmington garnering three first place votes. Thomas Jefferson University captured third place with 35 points and three first place votes, while Chestnut Hill College rounded out the top-four in the South with 24 points.

Caldwell posted their highest win total since 2011 as they finished the 2021 season with a 15-15 record. The Cougars took second place in the North Division with a 12-12 conference record, to reach the CACC Tournament for the first time since 2012. Caldwell won their opening round against Post 12-11 to advance to the CACC semifinals.

The Cougars are under the leadership of Head Coach
Hasani Whitfield, who enters his fourth season as Caldwell's head coach. He has earned 30 wins in his career at Caldwell and looks to guide the Cougars back to the post season in 2022.
