NEW CASTLE, Del.- The Caldwell University women's bowling team earned four wins to open play on the first day at the Wildcats D2-D3 Invitational hosted by Wilmington University.
The Cougars opened the day with an 827-806 win over Felician University. Caldwell defeated New Jersey City University 921-766 and downed Daemen College 1,039-951. The Cougars won their fourth match of the first day with a 917-81 win over Chestnut Hill College. Caldwell were edged by Molloy College 988-967 to close out play on the opening day.
Sophomore
Lauren Marks (Parsippany, N.J.) led the way with a baker average of 19.89, while freshman
Yoana Hyman-Cruz (Edison, N.J.) posted a baker average of 18.93.
Junior
Rhianna Smith (Mt Olive, N.J.) finished with an 18.76 baker average, while senior
Jenna Rapach (Hazleton, Pa.) rounded out the top performers with an 18.18 baker average.
The Cougars play five traditional matches to continue play on day two of the Wildcats D2-D3 Invitational hosted by Wilmington on Saturday, February 19.
