NEW CASTLE, Del.- The Caldwell University women's bowling team wrapped up play at its season opening tournament as they captured eighth place at the Bud Whitman Memorial Tournament hosted by Chestnut Hill College.
The Cougars fell in their opening two matches as they lost 839-741 to University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg and 879-738 to host Chestnut Hill. Caldwell won their next two matches as they defeated Howard University 899-729 and Kutztown University 853-821 to advance to the best of seven bracket. The Cougars fell 4-3 to Chestnut Hill to take eighth place.
The Cougars return to action as they compete in the Bowl for the Cure hosted by Sacred Heart University October 15-16.
