Overview
The Caldwell University Men's Soccer team fell in their season opener to Assumption College 4-2 this past weekend. The Cougars travel to Le Moyne College on Friday and wrap up their weekend road trip at The College of Saint Rose on Sunday.
Scouting the Cougars
- Junior Jeongmin Ahn (Sejong, South Korea) scored twice in his Caldwell debut this past weekend against Assumption
- Freshman Brian Balcazar (Newark, N.J.) and junior Alessandro Canino (Parma, Italy) each recorded assists in the game.
- Junior keeper Nils Svere (Lier, Norway) recorded eight saves in the loss.
CACC Weekly Honors
Ahn earned CACC weekly honor roll recognition after netting a pair of goals in the season opener.
Scouting the Dolphins
- Le Moyne College defeated their first two opponents of the season, defeating Jefferson 8-0 in their last game.
- The Dolphins are 2-0 to start the season.
- Goran Naric leads the team with eight points.
- Patrick Strauss and Robert Rohrhirsch are tied with four points each.
Scouting the Golden Knights
- Saint Rose opened the season with three wins to start 2019.
- The Golden Knights defeated Dominican College 2-1 in the last contest.
- Daniel Rechni leads the team with three points.
