READING, Pa.- The Caldwell University women's bowling team won both matches on Saturday afternoon to advance in the winner's bracket on day two of the East Coast Conference Championships. The Cougars reach the semifinals of the double elimination tournament and will face top seed Lincoln Memorial University on Sunday morning.
The third seeded Cougars received a bye on Saturday as they rallied from 3-2 deficit to beat sixth seeded Molloy College. Caldwell advanced to face second seed Adelphi University. The Cougars fell behind 3-0 before rallying back to win the match 4-3 to advance in winner's bracket.
Freshman
Jenna Rapach (Hazleton, Pa.) led the Cougars with a 21.38 baker average in 77 frames. Freshman
Victoria Vucak (Garfield, N.J.) competed in 39 frames and finished with a 20.84 baker average. Sophomore
Madison Perry (Hawthorne, N.J.) totaled an 18.88 baker average in 77 frames.
Seniors
Jamie Lee Kulaga (West Hazleton, Pa.) and
Amanda Scharf (North Brunswick, N.J.) each posted an 18.79 baker average in 77 frames. Senior
Madison Miller (West Deptford, N.J.) rounded out the top performers with a 16.00 baker average in 32 frames.
The third seeded Cougars will face top seed Lincoln Memorial on Sunday, March 24 at 10:10 am with the winner advancing to the championship match later in the day. Sunday's full schedule is listed below.
