READING, Pa.- The Caldwell University women's bowling team kicked the second half of their season with a fourth place finish on the opening day of the Golden Bear Classic hosted by Kutztown University.
The Cougars opened the day with a 966-930 win over Duquesne University. Caldwell fell to LIU Brooklyn 952-882 but bounced back to defeat Norfolk State University 934-740. The Cougars fell short to Saint Francis University 993-920. Caldwell ended the day with an 888-742 win over Walsh University.
Caldwell finished in fourth place with a five-match baker team average of 183.6 edging out Wilmington University (183.2). Saint Francis won the opening tournament with four wins and an average of 202.6, while Duquesne posted an average of 189.2. Adelphi University took third place with a team average of 186.1.
Caldwell continues play at the KU Golden Bear Classic on Saturday, February 9 in Reading, Pennsylvania.
