EAST MEADOW, N.Y.- Caldwell University women's bowling senior
Amanda Scharf (North Brunswick, N.J.) earned tournament MVP honors and freshman
Jenna Rapach (Hazleton, Pa.) earned all-tournament honors as the Cougars took second place on the opening day of the Molloy College Invitational.
Caldwell posted a 4-1 record and finished in second place with a total pin fall of 4,456, falling short of first place by 18 pins.
The Cougars defeated Molloy College 948-844 and defeated Felician University 988-880. Caldwell posted an 851-695 win over St. Thomas Aquinas College and fell to Kutztown University 844-785. The Cougars closed out the first day of competition with an 884-841 win over LIU Post.
Scharf earned tournament MVP honors as she posted a baker average of 19.76. Rapach was also named to the all-tournament team as she finished with a baker average of 19.36.
Senior
Jamie Lee Kulaga (West Hazleton, Pa.) posted a baker average of 17.83, while sophomore
Madison Perry (Hawthorne, N.J.) finished with an average of 17.45.
Caldwell continues play at the Molloy Invitational on Sunday, February 24 in East Meadow, New York.
