MILLSBORO, Del.- The Caldwell University women's bowling team opened play at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Hawk Classic on Friday.
 
The Cougars opened the tournament with a 966-916 loss to Monmouth University. Caldwell fell to Sam Houston State University 978-813 and St. Francis University 972-871. The Cougars came up short to Long Island University 885-859 but closed out the opening day with an 899-870 win over Kutztown University.
 
Sophomore Jenna Rapach (Hazleton, Pa.) led the Cougars with a 17.81 baker average, while sophomore Victoria Vucak (Garfield, N.J.) finished with a 17.51 average.
 
Junior Deanne Murray (McMurray, Pa.) posted a 17.25 baker average, while junior Madison Perry (Hawthorne, N.J.) finished with a 17.06 average.
 
The Cougars continue play at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Hawk Classic on Saturday, November 23.
