ROCKAWAY, N.J.- The Caldwell University women's bowling team opened play at the CU Cougar Classic with three wins.
The Cougars went 3-1 on the opening day of the lone home tournament this season. Caldwell opened the first day of competition with a 941-901 win over University of Maryland Eastern Shore. The Cougars fell to Sacred Heart University 896-873 before closing out the opening day with two wins. Caldwell defeated Molloy College 991-865 and edged Adelphi University 883-880 in their final match of the day.
Sophomore
Jenna Rapach (Hazleton, Pa.) led the way with a 20.37 baker average for the Cougars. Sophomore
Victoria Vucak (Garfield, N.J.) finished with an 18.17 average, while junior
Madison Perry (Hawthorne, N.J.) posted a 17.29 average.
Junior
Gabriella Pangaro (Clifton, N.J.) finished with a baker average of 17.16, while freshman
Jessica Fetik (Staten Island, N.Y.) posted an average of 16.04.
The Cougars return to action as they compete in day two of the CU Cougar Classic on Saturday, October 26 hosted at Rockaway Lanes in Rockaway, N.J.
