PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- Caldwell University softball senior
Marisa Monasseri (Monroe, N.J.) recorded her 200th RBI as the Cougars swept a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference against Chestnut Hill College. Caldwell took the opener 12-0 in five innings and complete the sweep with a 7-0 win in the nightcap.

The Cougars improve to 26-16 and 20-2 in the CACC, while the Griffins fall to 5-26 and 5-18 in conference play.

Caldwell took control of the game in the opener as they scored seven runs in the opening inning. Monasseri blasted a three-run homerun to push her over 200 RBI for her career. Senior
Katelyn Johnson (Denville, N.J.) added a two-run double in the inning, while freshman
Anyssia Ramirez (Brentwood, Calif.) and senior
Kiahna Silva (Etiwanda, Calif.) posted RBI singles.

Kaileen Cain (Hauppauge, N.Y.) connected on a solo homerun in the third, while freshman
Paige Sandoval (Aliso Viejo, Calif.) blasted a grand slam homerun in the fifth.

Sara Bearden (Ewing, N.J.) improved to 14-7 as she tossed a three-hit shutout with three strikeouts.

Caldwell got on the board in the first inning of game two as junior
Carly Testa (Sicklerville, N.J.) drew a bases loaded walk to force in a run. Silva added a sacrifice fly in the second, while Johnson doubled in a run in the third.

The Cougars added three runs in the fourth as freshman
Maya Rodriguez (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) singled in a run, while Cain connected on a two-run homerun. Sandoval scored a run in the seventh on a wild pitch.

Jessie Johnston (Livermore, Calif.) improved to 12-9 as she pitched a four-hit shutout with four strikeouts.
