NEW CASTLE, Del.- The Caldwell University women's bowling team posted four wins and leads the field following day one of the Wilmington University Wildcats Invitational.
Caldwell leads the tournament after day one with a 4-1 record in five baker matches. The Cougars registered the highest pin fall on opening day with 4,456, edging Adelphi University (4,450) and host Wilmington (4,414).
The Cougars dropped their opening match 861-853 to Molloy College. Caldwell defeated Kutztown University 904-811 and Saint Vincent College 879-786. The Cougars added two more baker wins with an 898-887 win over LIU Post and closed out the day with a 922-592 win over Penn St. Altoona.
Senior
Jamie Lee Kulaga (West Hazleton, Pa.) led the way with a 20.31 baker average for Caldwell. Senior
Amanda Scharf (North Brunswick, N.J.) posted a solid opening day with a 17.54 average.
Sophomore
Madison Perry (Hawthorne, N.J.) finished with a 17.04 average, while freshman
Jenna Rapach (Hazleton, Pa.) posted a 17.02 average.
Caldwell continues play at the WU Wildcats Invitational on Saturday, December 1 in New Castle Delaware.
