READING, Pa.- The Caldwell University women's bowling team opened the 2018-19 season with a pair of wins on day one of the Bud Whitman Classic hosted by Kutztown University.
Caldwell posted wins in their first two matches as they defeated Medaille College 908-800 and edged Bloomfield College 817-811. The Cougars fell in their next two matches 929-900 to Youngstown St. University and 955-873 loss to Duquesne University. Caldwell closed out the opening day with a 904-814 loss to host Kutztown.
Sophomore
Madison Perry (Hawthorne, N.J.) led the Cougars with an 18.52 baker average.
Senior
Jamie Lee Kulaga (West Hazleton, Pa.) posted a 17.30 baker average, while senior
Amanda Scharf (North Brunswick, N.J.) finished with a 16.36 average. Freshman
Jenna Rapach (Hazleton, Pa.) recorded an average of 15.96 on the opening day of the tournament.
The Cougars wrap up play at the Bud Whitman Memorial on Sunday, October 14.
