READING, Pa.- The Caldwell University women's bowling team opened up play at the three-day Golden Bear Classic with four wins hosted by Kutztown University.
The Cougars posted a 4-1 record on the first day of the Golden Bear Classic. Caldwell won their first four matches before falling in their fifth and final match of the opening day.
The Cougars defeated Morgan St. University 927-796 and downed Salem International University 860-585. Caldwell continued their winning ways on the first day with an 821-682 victory against Daemen College and a 977-906 win against Franklin Pierce University. In their final match of the day, Caldwell fell to host Kutztown 937-791.
In their second season as a varsity program, Caldwell evens their match play record to 24-24 this year.
The Cougars return for Day 2 of the Golden Bear Classic hosted by Kutztown University on Saturday, February 13.
