WALLINGFORD, Conn.- Caldwell University women's bowling sophomore
Amanda Scharf (North Brunswick, N.J) finished in the top-10 in traditional play on the final day of the Northeast Conference Meet #1. The Cougars fell in their final traditional match of the weekend and lost three baker format matches to fall to 1-8 in conference play this season.

The Cougars concluded traditional play with a 973-878 loss to Duquesne University to open Day 2 of the NEC Meet #1. Caldwell played in three baker rounds as they fell 985-825 to Saint Francis College Brooklyn and lost 995-917 to Sacred Heart University. The Cougars wrapped up the day with a 902-834 loss to Saint Francis University (Pa.).

In traditional play, Scharf led the Cougars as she finished in eighth place with as 192.14 average. Junior
Daniele Roca (Garden City Park, N.Y.) came in 11th place with an average round of 189.0.
Sophomore
Jamie Lee Kulaga (West Hazelton, Pa.) finished in 16th place as three Cougars finished in the top-20. Kulaga posted an average round of 176.29. Sophomore
Alexis Policastro (Carteret, N.J.) placed 28th in the conference-opening meet with an average round of 167.50

The Cougars are off until 2017 when they will be back in action at the Red Flash Invitational hosted by Saint Francis University (Pa.) on January 27-29.
