WALLINGFORD, Conn.- The Caldwell University women's bowling team went 4-1 at the Sacred Heart Bowl for the Cure in traditional match play.
The Cougars opened the tournament with three wins as they defeated Felician University 841-825 and Molloy College 789-746. Caldwell won a close battled against Franklin Pierce University 874-870. The Cougars fell to the host Sacred Heart 981-885 but bounced back to win their final match against Kutztown University 924-853.
Junior
Daniele Roca (Garden City Park, N.Y.) was the top Cougars performer as she averaged 195.2 in five rounds. She posted a high round of 227 and was named to the all-tournament team.
Sophomore
Jamie Lee Kulaga (West Hazelton, Pa.) averaged a 184.2 in five rounds with a high round of 209. Sophomore
Amanda Scharf (North Brunswick, N.J.) rounded out the top performers as she averaged 173.6 in five rounds with a high score of 192.
The Cougars are back in action on as they compete in the three-day Fairleigh Dickinson University Jamboree starting on Friday, October 28.
