READING, Pa.- The Caldwell University women's bowling team posted a pair of traditional match wins on the final day of the season opening Kutztown University Invitational.
The Cougars went 2-3 in five matches on Sunday in traditional match play. Caldwell opened with three losses as they fell to Howard University 923-885 and Franklin Pierce University 963-743. The Cougars fell to Adelphi University 965-919. Caldwell finished the day on a strong note as they defeated Coppin St. University 861-733 and St. Peter's University 796-777.
Junior
Daniele Roca (Garden City Park, N.Y.) was the top Cougars performer as they averaged 192 in five rounds. Roca bowled a high round of 229. Sophomore
Jamie Lee Kulaga (West Hazelton, Pa.) bowled a four-round average of 180.5, while sophomore
Amanda Scharf (North Brunswick, N.J.) posted a four round average of 169. Sophomore
Alexis Policastro (Carteret, N.J.) rounded out the top performers as she bowled a four round average of 156.
The Cougars are back in action on Saturday, October 22 as they compete in the Sacred Heart University Bowl for the Cure in Wallingford, CT.
