ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Caldwell University bowling team completed the first day at the Golden Bear Classic, hosted by Kutztown University at Parkway Lanes. The Cougars, who are participating in their first event of 2015, played matches against Adelphi, St. Francis (PA), Franklin Pierce, Kutztown and New Jersey City on the first day of the three-day tournament.

All matches in the tournament will use Baker format scoring, with each of the five team members, in order, bowling a complete frame until a complete (10-frame) game is bowled. Caldwell, which is competing in its inaugural season, fell in all five matches on Friday.  

The Cougars, coached by Ken Yokobosky, continue play at the 10-team Golden Bear Classic with five more matches on Saturday, Feb. 14 at Parkway Lanes.
