After Dominican scored a run in the bottom of the first inning to take the early lead, Caldwell answered with three runs in the top of the third. Senior Thomas Pisano (N. The Cougars continued to battle back, loading the bases in the top of the sixth. A sacrifice fly from senior Paul Nyitray (Cranford, NJ/St. Joseph), a two-run double by O'Donnell and an RBI single from Pisano brought Caldwell within two, 10-8. After Dominican added a run in the seventh, the Cougars put runners in scoring position in the final three innings but were unable to score.
