NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. – The Caldwell University bowling team concluded play Sunday afternoon at the Fairleigh Dickinson Jamboree, held at Carolier Lanes. The Cougars (2-12), won Baker format matches against New Jersey City and Pitt-Bradford before losing to Coppin State to finish 24th overall.
Baker format matches are best-of-seven games, with each of the five team members, in order, bowling a complete frame until a complete (10-frame) game is bowled. In the first match of the day, Caldwell defeated New Jersey City, four games to none. Against Pitt-Bradford, the Cougars went to seven games before winning the final game, 151-134. In the 23rd-place match with Coppin State, Caldwell won the first, fourth and fifth games but fell in the sixth game, 128-116. Coppin State won the final game, 140-135 to take the match.
This is the first season for the Caldwell bowling team, which consists of seven freshmen. The five players who competed at the FDU Jamboree are

Ken Yokobosky, will play in a Northeast Conference meet on Nov. 8-9 in Wallingford, Conn.
