Morena and Lopez each drove in a pair of runs in the first and third innings, then sophomores Stephen Dodd (Milford, PA/Delaware Valley) and Joe O'Donnell (Belleville, NJ/Belleville) had RBIs in a three-run fifth for a 7-0 lead. After Concordia put two runs on the board in the top of the sixth, senior Jorge Ynoa (Bayside, NY/Bayside) singled home sophomore Paul Nyitray (Cranford, NJ/St. Joseph) and Lopez hit a two-run double in the seventh to extend the lead to 10-2.
DeRogatis allowed two runs on two hits in six innings to improve to 1-2 on the season. Sophomore Gary Gurino-Burns (N. Massapequa, NY/Plainedge) pitched three innings to earn his first save of the season. Ynoa went 4-for-5 at the plate with three runs, while Doerrer and Lopez each had three hits.
