NEWARK, N.J. - The Caldwell College baseball team managed to record just one hit in a 12-0 loss to Bloomfield College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game Tuesday afternoon at West Side Park. The Cougars fall to 11-18 overall and 5-11 in conference play on the season, while the Deacons improve to 14-17, 11-5 CACC.

Bloomfield scored two runs in the top of the second, then broke the game open with seven runs in the third for a 9-0 lead. Ricky Maldonado brought home runs with a single and a double in his two at-bats in the third. The Deacons added a run in the fifth and two more in the seventh for a 12-0 lead.
