CALDWELL, N.J. - The Caldwell College baseball team trailed the University of the Sciences, 4-2 in the bottom of the ninth before scoring three runs to edge the Devils, 5-4 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game Thursday afternoon at Smith Field. A two-run single by sophomore Omar Velazquez (Astoria, NY/Long Island City) tied the game at 4-4. Later with runners on first and second, Velazquez stole third, then went home when the catcher's throw to third went into left field, giving the Cougars the win. Caldwell is now 12-6 in the conference and 20-13 overall, while the Devils drop to 9-22, 5-11 CACC.
