PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Caldwell College men's soccer team defeated Chestnut Hill College, 3-0 in the first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match of the season for both teams Saturday afternoon. The victory is the Cougars' third in a row and improves their overall record to 3-1-2 on the year. The Griffins, who joined the CACC this fall after moving up from NCAA Division III, fall to 3-1-1 overall.
The game remained scoreless until the 34th minute, when sophomore midfielder Peter Carlsson (Lycke, Sweden) scored an unassisted goal for his first of the season.
