PARSIPPANY, N.J. - The Caldwell College baseball team dropped a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game to Wilmington College, 7-1 Thursday afternoon at Smith Field. The loss gives the Cougars a 17-21 overall record and evens their conference mark at 10-10, while the Wildcats improve to 23-18, 15-5 CACC.

Wilmington scored three runs in the first inning on a two-run home run by Derek Pugh and a solo homer from Andy Chunn. Pugh and Chunn homered again in the third to give the Wildcats a 5-0 lead. Single runs in the fifth and sixth innings extended the advantage to 7-0. Senior Anthony DeRogatis (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) went the distance on the mound for Caldwell, allowing 11 hits and seven runs while striking out eight in nine innings. Mundy gave up just five hits and fanned 11 to earn the victory.
