BRIDGEPORT, CONN. - In their first-ever ECAC Championship Game, the Dominican Chargers outlasted Caldwell College for a 4-2 win and the ECAC title. The top-seeded Chargers, who advanced to the final with a 3-2 win over American International, scored two second-half goals to account for the final.

Caldwell's Chris Parshelunis (Brick, NJ/St. Rose) (pictured) put the Cougars up 1-0 at 11:55 before DC's Kyle Clancy answered back at 20:14. Dominican took a 2-1 lead at 25 minutes, then Parshelunis came right back for Caldwell and scored nine seconds before halftime to tie the game at 2-2. Parshelunis also had a pair of goals in the Cougars' semifinal win over the University of Bridgeport after scoring just once in 19 previous games.

DC's Ryan Clancy scored the eventual game winner at 49:17 off an assist from Luigi Marin and Scott Silvia added an insurance goal at 81:30 for the 4-2 final.

Marin was named the MVP of the tournament after posting three assists in the championship game.

Caldwell goalkeeper Mike Turdo (West Paterson, NJ/Passaic Valley) made two saves, while DC goalie Kieran McGovern did not record a save in the victory.
