BETHPAGE, N.Y. -- Sophomore Lizbeth Castillo (West New York, N.J) and Senior Dayanara Grau (Union City, N.J.) were the top two Caldwell University women's cross country finishers at the highly competitive Adelphi Panthers XC Invite at Bethpage Polo at the Park on Friday afternoon. The Cougars placed 13th of 17 teams in the field that included numerous Division I schools as well as DII and DIII entries.

Castillo completed the 6K course in 28:38.6 to earn 60th place in the 120-runner field. Grau went 30:17.5 for 67th, followed by soph Ashley Mercado (Franklin Square, N.Y.) in 79th (33:18.5), freshman Jade Camacho (83rd, 34:36.5) and freshman Kermina Ibraham (Howell, N.J.) (84th, 34:37.2).

The Cougars travel to the Bronx, N.Y. next Friday to compete in the Iona Meet of Champions in their next action.
