EWING, N.J. -- Sophomore Lizbeth Castillo (West New York, N.J.) took 14th at 21:07.04 and junior Isabel Michel (Bogota, N.J.) placed 26th at 22:47.1, leading the way for Caldwell University women's cross country at the Herb Lorenz invitational hosted by The College of New Jersey on Friday evening.

The Cougars finished fifth overall at the meet, as two others completed the 5K course in under 25:00: sophomore Ashley Mercado (Franklin Square, N.Y.; 33rd, 24:00.3) and senior Dayanara Grau (Union City, N.J.; 38th, 34:35.4).

Freshman Kermina Ibrahim (Howell, N.J.; 39th, 25:35.4) and freshman Jade Camacho (Jersey City, N.J.; 42nd, 26:54.1) rounded out the field for Caldwell.

CU hosts the Cougar Chase at Garret Mountain Reservation in Woodland Park next Friday in its next action.
