Bianca Chiarella (Passaic, N.J.) served up nine aces and had a game-best six digs and sophomore hitter
Marley Rudolph (Hampstead, Md.) posted a game-high 11 kills as Caldwell University volleyball won its second straight, a 25-8, 25-13, 25-13 non-league triumph over Lincoln University in its home opener at the Newman Center on Wednesday evening.
The Cougars (2-2) got off to a fast start, turning a 6-5 first-set deficit into a 19-6 lead with a 13-0 run on the right arm of Chiarella, who had four aces during the stretch, to go with two Rudolph kills. Four straight points, culminating with a kill by freshman MB
Si'ena King (Orlando, Fla.) closed out the set.
In the second, Lincoln (0-4) hung tough at 11-8 until a decisive 11-2 run put CU ahead, 22-10, en route to the set win which Rudolph finished off with a kill.
The third was more of the same from Caldwell, which scored the first six points and leaped to a 10-1 lead and finished with a 5-2 run, completed with two kills from sophomore RS
Meredith Gatz (Millis, Mass.) and one each by King and Rudolph.

Grace Moliterno (Chester, N.Y.) flipped 15 assists and soph
Sienna Reddell (Roseville, Calif.) added seven.Â
