CALDWELL, N.J. -- Senior midfielder Zakkery Glatfelter (New Oxford, Pa.) notched three goals and two assists and senior attacker Gavin Starr (Montgomery, N.Y.) added two goals and two assists as Caldwell University dropped a CACC men's lacrosse contest to Dominican at Kiwanis Oval on a chilly Thursday afternoon.

Starr netted Caldwell's first two markers, one in each of the first two quarters, as the Cougars (1-7, 1-4 CACC) hung close early, trailing 4-2. But the Chargers (4-8, 1-4) closed out the half with nine straight markers, adding the first two of the third before Glatfelter's back-to-back goals broke the DUNY streak.

Junior defenseman James McCarthy (Middletown, N.J.) had six ground balls, three caused turnovers and his second goal of the season.

Junior attackman Spencer Knapp (Point Pleasant, N.J.), junior attackman Michael Spitz (Ringwood, N.J.) and senior DM Joseph Alberti (Nutley, N.J.) also scored for the Cougars.

Senior Edwin Himmel-Maines (Delta, Pa.) made 14 saves, while freshman netminder Shafin Choudhury (Paterson, N.J.) made three stops in his six plus minutes of work.

Caldwell next visits Chestnut Hill on April 11 in its next action.
