BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Senior LF Jimmy Kurtz (Buena, N.J.) had three hits and freshman right fielder Izaiah Robinson (Franklin Twp., N.J.) had two hits and stole five bases as Caldwell University baseball fell in the final game of its three-game set against Bridgeport in a CACC contest at Seaside Park on Sunday.

The Purple Knights (12-21, 8-15 CACC) tallied three runs each in the first and second innings to lead, 6-1. A two-run triple by senior 2B Stephen Young Jr. (Middlesex, N.J.) pulled CU to within 6-3 in the fifth, but UB pulled away with single runs in the sixth and seventh and two in the eighth for the final margin.

Caldwell (11-20, 9-14) next hosts Thomas Jefferson on Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Kiwanis Oval.
