CALDWELL, N.J. -- Caldwell baseball's bats came alive on Wednesday as they scored 29 runs in sweeping a CACC doubleheader from Georgian Court, 11-9 and 18-12, at Kiwanis Oval.
In the opener, Caldwell rallied from a 9-4 deficit entering the bottom of the seventh, scoring four in that frame, the key hit a two-run home run by freshman 3B

In the nightcap, the Cougars (3-14, 2-10 CACC) scored six runs in the first three innings, two on a triple by Robinson in the third, then exploded for 10 in the fourth, highlighted by a three-run home run by Hopf. Caldwell held on for the 18-12 win, making a winner of freshman RHP
Shawn Fraumeni (Freehold, N.J.), who opened with four hitless innings before tiring in the fifth.
