WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Junior midfielder
Evan Uriguen (Pompton Lakes, N.J.) had a team-best three goals as Caldwell men's lacrosse fell in a non-league matchup at District of Columbia at UDC Athletics Field on Wednesday afternoon.
The Cougars battled back after trailing, 10-1, at halftime, narrowing the deficit to 12-7 with a six-goal third period. But the Firebirds defense held CU (1-4) without a goal in the fourth to secure the win.

James McCarthy (Middletown, N.J.) and junior FO specialist
Valentine Soltys (Westmont, N.J.) had six ground balls apiece.
Senior GK
Edwin Himmel-Maines (Delta, Pa.) made 11 saves for the Cougars.
Adam Zima's five goals led UDC.
The Cougars next host Post on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Kiwanis Oval.
